Ever wondered how some people are so good at poker, blackjack or any card game?
Well, these people may very well be card counting. Something which has since been illegal and not permitted in many environments
Card counting involves some very strong arithmetic and knowledge of a deck of 52 cards as well as whatever game that is being played
Multiple people have gotten away with this in the past, however, a lot of places have found ways to protect themselves from card counting with new and improved shuffling and detection methods.
This program allows you to play along with the game of card counting while also learning the data and statistics of the game that is going on.
The Game
- This program begins by randomly drawing one card from the Object-Oriented deck of [52] cards
- Then you will be asked, based off of this card, whether the next card randomly drawn will be higher or lower than the face value of this card
- If you are correct, you will gain a point and if you are wrong the game will end and let you know how many cards were drawn and how many that you got right
NOTE: You will be given an opportunity here to guess what the exact card will be. If this is correct you will gain +5 points
The Data
At the end of each round, you will be notified of all the game statistics. How many cards have been drawn? What are your odds for the next card being higher or lower? And specifically what is the percent chance the next face value will be [any]?
